Since 2020, The Glowworm Project has sought to understand the vulnerabilities of the glowworm life cycle; a species highly dependent on precise environmental conditions and particularly susceptible to changes within its surrounding environment and ecosystem.
This bio-engineered dome acts as a protective environment for the glowworm species, enabling the study of both natural and anthropogenic threats to its survival. Conceived as a ‘living laboratory’, the project facilitates ongoing research into Arachnocampa luminosa.
